KRASTA - Spatial framework analysis for fatigue relevant structures and structures in motion

KRASTA is the software package for static and modal analysis of spatial frameworks in the field of material handling, plant construction and steelworks. The focus is on simple modelling and result evaluation of structures in various geometric positions or working situations. Subsystems and kinematic movements support the user at this.

1973

The idea for KRASTA comes up at the Institute for material handling and lifting appliances at the Technical University Darmstadt (Prof. Dr.-Ing. R. Neugebauer). Development in close cooperation with major companies and supported by the German industry association VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V.).

1979

KRASTA is presented to a broad professional audience at TU Darmstadt. Start of professional use.

1987

Version for IBM compatible PCs with partially graphical interactive input, with the support of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Wagner, RU Bochum.

since 1991

Development, maintenance and sale of the programs has been taken over by Kühne BSB GmbH in close relationship with universities and industry.

since 1996

Complete graphical interactive input under Windows 95, Windows NT and their follow-ups.
